Description

Length: 2-2.3mm.  Basic colour: black.  Pattern: hind margin of elytra reddish-brown.  Number of spots: 0. Pronotum: black (with reddish-brown margin in males).  Head colour: reddish-brown (male), black (female).  Leg colour: reddish-brown.  Other features: hairy; tip of abdomen reddish-brown.

Biology

Habitats: deciduous woodland, habitats with oak. Host plants: oak trees. Food: Phylloxera. Overwintering sites: bark crevices and under the bark of oak trees.
