Description

Size: 12-14mm
Basic colour: Head and pronotum red, elytra metallic green.
Other colour forms: Rare
Pronotoum: Sides evenly rounded, side borders not widening posteriorly. Inner fovea deepened and extended forwards, outer foveae indistinct.
Leg colour: Black.

Biology

Status: Scarce. Local in southern and south-west England.

Habitat: Sand pits, exposed sandy banks and dry heaths.
Other notes: Elytral striae distinctly punctured. Wings present.
