Description

Size: 10.5-12.5mm
Basic colour: Bright metallic golden-green.
Pronotoum: Sides contracted and slightly sinuate in front of hind angles, punctuation distinct, occasionally rugose.
Leg colour: Pale yellow-brown with femora and tarsi slightly darker.
Confusion species: Chlaenius nigricornis

Biology

Status: Last recorded in 1930. Only known from the coast of Dorset , Sussex and the Isle of Wight.
RDB Category: Endangered
Habitat: Damp seepages under coastal cliffs.
