Description:
A largely-tropical family with four British representatives. Dryopthorus corticalis (Paykull) is a rare species found in wood in Windsor Great Park, although fossil remains have also been found in Somerset and Yorkshire. The remaining three species are Sitophilus spp., cosmopolitan stored-product pests found most commonly in granaries.
